The Pixies are a US band formed in Boston in the mid 80's.
Bossanova is their fourth studio album. The band are associated with the 90's alternative rock boom, and draw elements including punk and rock. Their jarring pop sound influenced acts such as Nirvana, Radiohead, the Smashing Pumkpin and Weezer.
